CSIR - Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CSIR- CIMAP) has lost its former Director, Dr. Sushil Kumar (1940 - 2021) today in the morning of May 2, 2021. A product of Delhi University and IARI, New Delhi, Prof. Sushil Kumar researched in and contributed to a range of fields such as Genetics, Biotechnology and Industrial and Food Crop Breeding and had a long and close association with several CSIR institutions and IARI, New Delhi. He had not only served as Director of CSIR-Central Institute of Aromatic and Medicinal Plants (CIMAP), Lucknow and also held charge of CSIR- National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow as director. He also headed the Human Resource Division of CSIR at Delhi and was also at SKA Institute for Research, Education and Development as well as at National Institution for Plant Genome Research.
