Ex NEPAL PRIME MINISTER SUSHIL KOIRALA PASSES AWAY Former Nepalese Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, 78, passed away this morning at his residence in Nepal. He was suffering Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and had recently recovered from oral cancer. Koirala was the leader of the Nepali Congress, the biggest liberal political party of Nepal. Com.R.Srinivas CPI-M Karnataka State Committee Member and veteran Vice President of State CITU passed away today at Bangalore, having suffered a heart attack as he was participating in the CPI-M State Committee meeting at Bangalore. An inspiring leader of the working class who led the historic BPL struggle, he had to undergo life imprisonment in the case concocted by the management. He had to spend 17 years in prison and was released few years back to a rousing welcome by workers and party cadre. He remained steadfastly committed to the cause of the working class and after his release from prison continued working to build the movement in the State.
