While some reports on internet say that she developed breathing problems and died of a heart attack after the surgery, some say that she had some respiratory problems.
This news has shocked her fans, who have taken to social media sites to express their condolences. Twitter is flooded with "rest in peace" messages and condolences from different parts of the world.
She was born on 5 March, 1985 in New Jersey where she was also brought up. When she was about 14 years of age, Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty spotted her and invited her to dance on stage in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
When the actor saw Aarthi Agarwal's performance, he asked her father to encourage her take up acting in Bollywood. At the age of 16, she made her Bollywood debut with "Paagalpan", but it failed to bring her any recognition.
It was Telugu industry where she shot to fame with her first Tollywood film "Nuvvu Naaku Nachav". Since then, she worked with many big names including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Mahesh Babu, Ravi Teja. Some of her popular films were "Nuvvuleka Nenulenu", "Indra, Bobby", "Vasantham" and "Adavi Ramudu".
What has pained her fans is the fact that her last movie "Ranam 2" was released on Friday, 05 June and she passed away a day after its release.
